This is a slightly harder natural finishing stone. More suitable for chisels than planes (it’s hard so you might feel that wide blades of standard size planes might not fit well with the stone surface) . Having said that, it also means that the hard surface of this stone is good for polishing the back side of blades.
You need to generate enough slurry in advance with a dressing stone.
Suitable for those who already have a natural whetstone and would like something a little harder.
