- A slightly thinner and larger version of Kitayama Sharpening Stone #1000
- Smooth sharpening with a blend of natural whetstone
- Thanks to the hardness of the whetstone being between King and Shapton, it can be used for both chisels and planes, and both white paper and blue paper steel can be sharpened comfortably
- Compared to Shapton's #1000, the honing touch is softer, so if you don't like the raspy feeling of Shapton #1000, you may prefer this whetstone. Scratches on soft iron will also be shallower.
- This product does not need to be soaked in water before use and only a small amount of water is needed for sharpening
